Is the saddle a crucial element of your axe? Certainly is. I defies the low and high of your tone and also contributes to make your guitar sustain properly too.

Overall, the aloy defines how your srings sound

Fender Original

The original. I am such a vintage head and i usually come back to these. The original Leo Fender design and they have that timeless looks.

Today they are surpassed and sort of outdated by more superior saddles, but they work as they should and many swear that these gives your guitar the correct tonal pitch. On production, Fender STILL does some of the tooling on these saddles on Leo Fender´s old designed machines. Pure Vintage saddles are practically the same, they just have the #Pat Pending" stamp on them.

They more often voted out because of them protruding height adjustment screws that rips skin of your arm should you be the player that rest your hand on the bridge. For this issue, stay put for a remedy further down this guide..

Raw Vintage has been around for some time. In design, they add zero to the vintage design.. Still look the same as Fender's own. What these guys have concentrated on is the material. Some claim Fender is not using the same aloy in their  saddles like in the good old days, and RW has analyzed, studied and come to the conclusion that their product is now as close as you can get to the golden age of Pre-CBS saddles.

Magic or snake oil? you decide..

Highwoods are probably the most loved of all bent steels.. Now, i mentioned skin ripping nuance of the height screws on original Fenders. Well study the photo of this thing and you will see what they have done. .

Instead of a regular "U" bend on the tip, they "O"d it instead. This gives the saddle the choice of having the grub screws to be threaded from underneath instead. That way the screw can sort of disappear down the top hole and out of the harms way. Also they slotted the saddle so strings do not wander on it. They more or less use the same metal as Leo did with a "dont fix what is not broken" on that area.  Available in all US, Mexico and Japan width and in relic finish as well. This is how you upgrade an original design.

Another High End maker. I believe the owner Jay is from India. He plays guitar and owns a manufacture company. Well. These i have never tried. All screws are stainless and the springs are top notch quality. I like the stamped logo design. Pretty neat.

They say they use a special nickel plating to make them last longer before they tarnish..

But can they offer more to the saddle then what Raw Vintage does? Who knows. But the slots are rather.. small i would say.

Comes in a nice presentation box with extra swag and tools. . Offers all spacings
