The Paisley artwork is a Wall-Paper design that is printed on thin-Foil and glued on the body. Then sprayed with a burst to hide the edges before Nitrocellulose was applied.
Over time, the foil has started to lose the adherence underneath the coating that shows on most of them.
The Foil has gone from pink to yellowish over time, but has kept the color intact under the pickguard on most of them.
The Pink Paisley was produced in a limited run for a year.
Associated most famously with James Burton who used it during his stint with Elvis until he died.
